The Ins and Outs of a Travelin' Man
Home to whom it MAY concern:
Sandboxer Joe posts an 8-word (8-point) ALPHABETIC sentence: Alligators Bit Crocodile Deserters, Eating Five Gulps Handily. Joe cannot now add more to this sentence, nor can he begin the next new sentence. But sandboxer Zoe can start a new sentence using the next alphabet letters (I, J, K, ...) to earn points for the new sentence at one point per word.
Or Zoe could have added words to Joe's sentence to make an even longer one -- “... In Jasper, Kansas Last Month” -- earning 13 points thanks to the 8-point bonus of Joe's words. Depends which path Zoe took. Scratch your head too long, and another sandboxer will get there first. Starting a new sentence ends the old one forever.
Joe cannot add more to his own beginning sentence even if other sandboxers stretch it to eternity making points on top of his. He is eligible to resume only when a new sentence starts.
Of course when a word begins with Z, the next word begins with A (B, C, D, ... ) again. Score will be kept all month, and the winner will be shipped C.O.D. to a non-participating sandboxer chosen by the players. Get a big score, not a big postal bill. GO!
Much love and many hugs,
